Temporary Work Permit Visa on Arrival (TWP VoA)

The Temporary Work Permit (TWP) Visa on Arrival is specifically designed for foreign crew members and technical personnel who need to work in Nigeria on a temporary basis, typically for joining vessels, offshore installations, or short-term project assignments.

PeaceRyde fast-tracks TWP VoA processing from the standard 5-7 days down to 1-2 days, minimizing vessel idle time and crew deployment delays. Our immigration desk maintains direct relationships with NIS to ensure expedited approvals.

We handle the entire process from documentation preparation through to airport arrival facilitation, ensuring crew members clear immigration quickly and proceed to their vessels without unnecessary delays.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is a TWP valid?

A TWP pre-approval certificate is valid for 90 days (e.g. 13-Jan-2026 to 12-Apr-2026). However, the entry permit must be used within 30 days from the date of issuance. PeaceRyde can process extensions or regularization if a longer period is required.

Can crew work offshore with just a TWP?

A TWP allows entry into Nigeria. To go offshore, crew also need an Offshore Safety Permit (OSP) from NUPRC. PeaceRyde processes both simultaneously.
