Business Visa on Arrival (BVoA)

The Business Visa on Arrival (BVoA) allows eligible business travellers to obtain a visa at the Nigerian port of entry. This visa is suitable for business meetings, conferences, contract negotiations, and short-term business activities in Nigeria.

PeaceRyde handles the entire BVoA pre-approval process, ensuring all documentation is properly prepared and submitted to the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) before your arrival. This significantly reduces processing time from the standard 3-5 days to just 1-2 days.

Our immigration team meets arriving personnel at the airport to facilitate swift clearance through immigration, collect documents, and ensure a smooth arrival experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is a BVoA valid?

A Business Visa on Arrival has a visa validity of 90 days from the issue date, with a permitted duration of stay of 30 days per entry (single entry). PeaceRyde can process extensions before the permitted stay expires.

Can I convert a BVoA to a longer visa?

No. According to the Nigerian Immigration Service, short-visit e-Visas (including BVoA) cannot be converted into residence or work permits inside Nigeria. If you need a longer-term visa or work permit, you must apply for the correct category (e.g., Expatriate Quota, TWP) separately. PeaceRyde can advise on the right visa category for your needs.
